At Mole End Farms, our commitment goes beyond delivering award-winning organic apples and pears. We place utmost importance on the safety of our farm produce and employees. With every harvest, we ensure that each fruit is carefully nurtured, free from any harmful pesticides or chemicals, making them truly certified organic by the Soil Association. But our dedication doesn’t stop there. We also prioritize the well-being and protection of our hardworking team, creating a safe and secure environment for all. Produce:
Our commitment to producing safely and responsibly is demonstrated by our membership of food safety schemes whereby we are annually inspected and audited as well as committed to regular residue analysis.
We are therefore able to provide full traceability from orchard to customer. Working with our nurseries, skilled agronomists and our own skilled operators to ensure what we produce is safe and meets all required industry standards.
We are certified members of The Soil Association, Red Tractor Fresh Produce Assurance Scheme and an accredited silver member of Tesco Nuture.
Employees:
As a business with a small workforce and soon to become an Employee Owned Trust, the health and wellbeing of our employees is very important. Employees are encouraged to work within their limits and enjoy a good work / life balance and are made fully aware of the potential dangers to themselves and others while at work on the farm. Employees attend courses to keep skills up to date, as well as regular health and safety meetings.
NFU Risk Management support us with our Health and Safety requirements by carrying out annual audits and risk assessments to ensure we are up to date with all regulations and to ensure we are maintaining a safe environment for both our staff and the public.
